Whether your kid is on their way to Cancun or swinging a hammer with a local Habitat for Humanity group, there are some fundamental safety and planning tips your student should know.
- Always remember safety first. Things like sunscreen, external phone batteries, and bringing water can be easily forgotten. Plan ahead to have a backpack with space enough to carry the essentials.
- Don’t be flashy. Even if you’re not heading to France this spring, it’s not worth bringing valuables, jewelry, or excess cash to wherever you’re going.
- Sharing is caring. Even though we’re in college now, the lesson we learned in Kindergarten remains true, your spring break plans are best had with good friends. Don’t plan trips and projects alone, always have a buddy who’s got your back.
