Holiday Gifts for High School and College Students

Last-minute shoppers—this blog is for you! We surveyed our high school and college students and asked them what they wanted for holiday gifts. The poll may lack validity (the sample size is small), but the suggestions are excellent.

Exercise clothes. Popular brands include Lululemon and Alo Yoga. Expensive but durable. And students live in exercise clothes today, as this article from UT-Austin explains.

Faux fur. Slippers, blankets, and a Pottery Barn dog pillow were top suggestions (the dog is cute!). Here is a list of favorite faux fur items from a University of Maryland college student.

College branded jewelry. Whether Kyle Cavan or M. LaHart, college jewelry is a great way for students to show off school spirit.

Custom iphone cases. These can be designed at a variety of sites, but Casetify came highly recommended.

Anything Apple. From AirPods Pro to three-in-one charging stations, you cannot go wrong gifting students an Apple product.

Portable phone charger. The Anker Power Core is hands down the fan favorite. It comes in black, blue, red, and white and is compatible with both iPhone and android phones.

And here are a few of my own suggestions:

Bissell MYAir Personal Air Purifier. Good for freshening up the air, this air purifier comes in white, blue, and purple.

Almost Adulting: All You Need to Know to Get It Together (Sort Of), by Arden Rose. A humorous but serious riff on how to go from childhood to young adulthood.

Weighted Stuffed Animals. Weighted animals can help with sleep and relaxation. Here is an article from CNet about their benefits.

Project Repat T-Shirt Quilt. Not sure what to do with all those t-shirts commemorating special events. Turn them into a keepsake blanket!

Happy holidays!
